Summary
The incidence of early-onset colorectal cancer (EOCRC; patients younger than 50 years) has increased worldwide over recent decades. This study aimed to provide nationwide evidence on surgically treated EOCRC in Switzerland.
Interventions
- PROCEDURE: Early-onset colorectal cancer resection
- PROCEDURE: Late-onset colorectal cancer resection
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion Criteria:
\- All patients with colorectal cancer resection in Switzerland between 2003 and 2022.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion Criteria:
* incomplete case documentation
* age under 15 years
* other hospitals than general or surgical hospitals
* no index operation
